Volunteering

There are currently opportunities to volunteer in the following areas:

1. Join Kay Watkins' Community Singers to bring live music and joy to local nursing homes, hospitals, and shelters. See: http://www.communitysingers.org

* no singing experience is necessary, just a willing heart!

2. Creating artwork for concert posters.

3. Writing press releases about events and sending them to the appropriate sources.

4. Stuffing and stamping envelopes announcing events.

5. Hanging posters before the concerts.

6. Maintaining a data base of the MCR mailing list.

7. Hosting concerts by setting up the room, welcoming guests and running the PA system.

8. Writing grant applications to local agencies.

9. Helping at events by setting up chairs, collecting tickets, serving refreshments, and cleaning up after the show.

Note: since MCR is a 501C-3 non-profit organization, your time volunteering counts as "community service" time for high school, college, and military requirements, etc.
