  Stanley Greenthal

Acclaimed Northwest songwriter and instrumentalist, Stanley Greenthal, performs a compelling mix of his original songs, and fresh arrangements of instrumental music from Brittany, Scotland, Ireland, and the Balkans. With a mastery of guitar and mandocello, Stanley is a poet who combines striking melody with images to evoke personal experience in the listener.  Stanley's instrumentals, whether an energetic Greek karsilamas dance or stirring Scottish pipe march set, transport audiences to a different time and place with stunning rhythmic complexity. His wife, Kip Greenthal, contributes harmony vocals and percussion.
