Nancy's first album, KidsSongs, was so successful that she received a gold record award from the Recording Association of America Inc. for having sold 500,000 copies. On this album, a song written by Nancy and her husband, John Cassidy, achieved special acclaim. "Chicken Lips and Lizard Hips" was recorded by Bruce Springsteen on a benefit tape for the Pediatric Aids Foundation.

Every other Saturday at 2:00 pm Peninsula Violin holds a Fiddle Workshop featuring legendary fiddlers from the Washington Old-Time Fiddlers Association.  This week's guest instructor is Jim Ketterman. Beginners/Intermediates of all ages and are welcomed.  $5 per session.   We break down two tunes each session.  And then join the jam following at 3:00 PM. Bring a chair if you can! There will also be lots of spontaneous music breaking out, after each nights closing sets, at the Galway Bay Pub, and hotel rooms all over Ocean Shores!
 
All performances will take place at the beautiful Ocean Shores Convention Center or at the intimate Galway Bay Restaurant and Pub.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the North Beach Music for Kids program that provides musical instruments to children of low-income families. 
 
Tickets for the two-day event  $35.  One day Saturday passes will be $25, and there are also special children rates.  Tickets can be purchased online using credit cards and PAYPAL at www.oceanshores.org or by calling the Ocean Shores Chamber 360-289-2451 or (888) 48-BEACH.

Seating is limited to 35 and always fills quickly, so don't wait!!
A donation of $15 per person will be requested at show time.
Feel free to bring children if they can sit for two hours and listen.
Munchies, home-baked cookies, coffee, and tea will be served - bring an alcoholic beverage if you wish.
It's  possible we may make this a potluck.

Ellis Paul at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center

Boston troubadour Ellis Paul www.ellispaul.com is on the road celebrating his latest release, "The Dragonfly Races," a family album. The album introduces Paul's modern pop-rock style and Woody Guthrie sensibility to Little One—but remains grown-up-friendly. The 1 p.m. show is a great chance for kiddos to catch the show, especially wiggly ones who will appreciate the 45-minute length.
