MCR presents:
Bluegrass Guitarist, David Grier, Friday November 7th, 8:00 PM
David Grier makes a rare appearance on Bainbridge Island to delight us with his lighting fast, flatpicking guitar style.  He is often called a "musician's musician" because it takes someone who has tried it to truly appreciate how he can perform what most of us consider to be the impossible.

Saturday November 8th, 2:00 PM  OLD-TIME FIDDLE WORKSHOP

This week we will have Tyler Hagood from Renton.  Tyler is Vice President West of Washington Old Time Fiddlers.  He's a youngin' and one heck of a good and fun teacher.  He's always got something great up his sleeve for us.   The Workshop will start at 2:00 P.M. with jamming afterward.  Please go to the website www.peninsulaviolin.com for additional information and future workshop teachers.

We are very privileged to have access to these great teachers who are willing to come to Poulsbo to share their talents with us.  Let's support them.  Thanks.

Seabold Second Saturday  -  7:30 PM Saturday November 8th

Live acoustic music, beautiful setting, new friends... and cookies!  What more could a person ask for?  Seabold Second Saturday is a dream come true for musicians and fans alike.  We come from all over the area -- Kitsap, Jefferson, and King counties -- to perform our own blend of folk, blues, jazz, and classic rock.  We play without amplification in the sweetest, most resonant little one-room schoolhouse you've ever seen, so you can experience the natural warmth of acoustic music to its fullest.  We are beginners and professionals, kids and adults, serious and light, confident and stage-o-phobic.  You never know who's going to show up... expect the unexpected!

We get together the second Saturday of every month at Seabold Community Hall on Bainbridge Island.  Signup for the open mic begins at roughly 6:30 pm and ends at 7:00 sharp.  The show starts at 7:30.  Admission is $5, but kids and performers get in free.  We've got cookies, coffee, tea, and bottled water, all for ridiculously low prices.

Saturday November 22nd, 8:00 PM  Bill Lippe's House Concert Series

STRYNGS (London/Cambridge, UK) frequently performs as a five piece, but during its current US tour is playing as a stripped-down acoustic duo of Strings (vocals, lyrics) and Martin (acoustic guitar). Strings herself is a very unique individual. Aside her career as a psychiatrist, she has won national awards for her poetry, and brings her poetic talents, empathy and humanity to her lyric writing, all delivered with a warm, intimate voice.  Martin has had a long career in the music industry, for the last seventeen years as a mastering engineer. Having played guitar since the age of fourteen, he has now stepped out from behind the console to write and play. The group has recorded two albums of original material and played at numerous venues in and around London and Cambridge, UK, ranging from house concerts to an audience of 600 at Islington's famous 'Carling Academy'. www.myspace.com/stryngs
